Aaron Frodsham, MD

Aaron Frodsham, MD is a board-certified interventional radiologist with more than 15 years of experience performing minimally invasive, image-guided procedures. He completed his radiology training at Yale University and advanced fellowship training in interventional radiology at Brown University.

Over the course of his career, Dr. Frodsham has practiced in both academic medicine and private practice. He began practicing in Utah with Utah Imaging, then spent three years at the University of Utah, and has been in private practice since 2016. His work includes extensive experience in vascular interventions, embolization therapies, and minimally invasive outpatient procedures.

For nearly two years, Dr. Frodsham has had a particular focus on genicular artery embolization (GAE), a minimally invasive treatment for chronic knee pain associated with osteoarthritis. He has developed extensive experience with GAE and has seen excellent clinical results in appropriately selected patients, including those seeking an alternative to surgery or who continue to experience pain despite other treatments.

GAE uses advanced image guidance to selectively treat abnormal blood vessels associated with inflammation and pain in the knee. The procedure is performed through a tiny arterial access site, typically in an outpatient setting, without altering the structure of the knee joint.

At Integrated Pain Specialists, Dr. Frodsham performs GAE at the Interventional Surgical Center in West Jordan and collaborates with the pain management team to expand access to innovative, minimally invasive treatments for chronic musculoskeletal pain. The program is also exploring image-guided treatments for conditions including plantar fasciitis, chronic hip and shoulder pain, and carpal tunnel syndrome.

Dr. Frodsham’s approach combines extensive interventional experience with careful patient selection and multidisciplinary care, with the goal of reducing pain, improving function, and helping patients return to the activities that matter to them.

Dr. Frodsham is fluent in Portuguese and speaks conversational Spanish, allowing him to communicate directly with many Portuguese- and Spanish-speaking patients.

Outside of medicine, Dr. Frodsham enjoys spending time with his two children, live music, and an active lifestyle. He has a particular passion for surfing and the ocean and enjoys traveling to experience new places both in and out of the water. At home in Utah, he also enjoys skiing, hiking, and the outdoors.
